SCHOOL PROGRAMS
SCORE WITH READING PROGRAM
The Chicago Steel reading program is FREE and geared
towards promoting good reading habits among students in
kindergarten through fifth grade by utilizing Steel
player visits, opportunities to win prizes and free
tickets to Steel games.
Through this mentoring program, students are
encouraged to attain specific reading goals during the
season with various rewards provided for their reading
achievements.
Last season the Steel read to over 5,000 students
in local schools.

HOCKEY 101 PROGRAM
The Chicago Steel Hockey 101 program is geared towards
promoting physical fitness among students in
kindergarten through fifth grade.
The goal of this school-based initiative is to
reach out to elementary students throughout the
Chicagoland-area by having Steel player visit gym
classes to teach the sport of hockey to students.
It is a community service program intended to
provide the continued goodwill in our community through
the spirit of hockey.
No equipment… No problem… we will provide floor
hockey sticks, pucks and other materials for the gym
class! Cost
of this program… FREE!

NATIONAL ANTHEM PERFORMANCE
The Chicago Steel Hockey Team would like to invite all
school band or choir groups to participate in our
National Anthem program during the 2011-2012 season.
Participants, family & friends can purchase
