Former Steel Player Signs NHL Contract

Bensenville, IL (March 12th, 2007) – The Chicago Steel have announced that former Steel forward, T.J. Fox of Oswego, NY, has signed an NHL contract with the San Jose Sharks.

Fox played with the Steel during the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 seasons. During his time with the Steel, Fox played in 116 games with a cumulative line of 32-45-77. He was named to the USHL All-Star team for the 2005 season and was acquired in a trade with the Green Bay Gamblers.

T.J. has spent the last two seasons with Union College and led his team in points this season with 37 points in 36 games, tying the school’s single-season record for points. He was tied for fifth in the ECACHL in overall scoring, second in assists, and fifth in power play points (19) this season.
