Vidmar Commits to Alaska-Anchorage

Bensenville, IL (June 12th, 2007) -- The Chicago Steel have announced that defenseman Luka Vidmar has committed to the Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves (WCHA) for the 2007 season.

Vidmar becomes the sixteenth Steel player to commit to a NCAA Division I school this year.

A converted forward at the end of the 2005-2006 season, Vidmar became adjusted to his new position on the blue-line this year for the Steel and lead the defense core in scoring with a 6-22-28 line in 57 games this past season. He also contributed 4 points in 5 playoff games against Waterloo. Vidmar finished 19th overall in defenseman scoring in the USHL during the 2006-2007 campaign.

Alaska-Anchorage is a member of the WCHA. They finished 13-21-3 on the season.
