Chicago Steel
Are Set To Host "2nd Annual Real Men Wear Pink Weekend"
Bensenville (October
15, 2008)
-
The Chicago Steel are extremely proud to announce that
the "Men of the Steel" will be wearing pink jerseys on
October 24th and 25th, to help
raise awareness for national breast cancer awareness
month.
The
Steel are very thankful that Chris Hubble with Triple
Threat Sports has joined the Steel team by providing the
pink jerseys that the players will be wearing. "Chris
and Triple Threat Sports are allowing us to make this
great event even better this year by providing us with
quality jerseys for our guys to wear and then auction
off after the game" said Director of Business Operations
for the Steel, John Montalbano. Proceeds from the 2nd
annual Real Men Wear Pink Weekend jersey auction will go
directly to Puck Cancer.
Puck Cancer was co-founded by Sue
Padulo and her sister Sandy Cross. Sue was fortunate to
overcome her two-year bout with cancer and her love for
hockey has inspired their organization’s involvement in
the fight against cancer. Puck Cancer is dedicated to
helping patients and survivors who are in need of either
personal or financial assistance because of cancer
related issues. This is the second year that the Steel
and Puck Cancer have teamed up for this event.
For more information on the games,
and to purchase tickets please call (630) 594-1165. The
Steel, Triple Threat Sports and Puck Cancer would like
to thank you for all of your support and we look forward
to seeing you out at the game.
