Two Steel
Players Off To Play For USA

- Defensemen John Moore and Max Nicastro
were both selected to play for USA in the World Junior A
Challenge.
The roster consists of 13 forwards, seven defensemen
and two goaltenders. All 22 players come from the USHL.
When asked about being selected to the team, Colorado
College recruit John Moore said "I am honored to be
representing my country at the Challenge, there are a
lot of great players on the team and I look forward to
getting up there and playing with them. It will be a
great opportunity. "
Detroit Redwing 2008 draft pick,
Max Nicastro, will be a second year veteran of the USA
squad. Currently Nicastro has a 1-4-5 line in 5 games
played, which is tied for second best on the Steel
team. Right behind Nicastro is Moore with a 1-3-4 line
in 5 games played.
In addition to Team USA, other participants will be
Belarus, Germany, Russia and two teams from Canada, one
from the eastern part of the country and one from the
western part of the country. Team USA's game against
Germany on November 4 will be their first of the event.
All of the games in the event will be played at
Camrose's Edgeworth Center. |
