Bensenville (October

- The Chicago Steel improved to 3-0 in
pink jerseys with a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the
Tri-City Storm Saturday night at the Edge in
Bensenville.
It marked the first back-to-back wins for Chicago and
put them above .500 for the first time this year.
Tri-City opened the scoring when Michael Cichy found an
opening on left wing and beat Chicago goalie Matt
Delaney glove-side at 3:52 of the first period.
Delaney (2-1) stopped 20 shots in the win.
The Steel tied it up late in the first when Matt
Lindblad redirected a Brett Kostolansky (University of
New Hampshire) shot from the point past Storm goalie
Nick Hopper.
Early in the second, the Storm regained the lead with
goal from Kevin Nugent.
A couple minutes later, with Chicago two men down, Eli
Zuck tipped in a pass from the top of the crease to
extend Tri-City's lead to 3-1.
Midway through the period, the Steel forecheck created a
turnover in Tri-City's zone and Alex Simonson found Greg
Wolfe who skated into the slot and beat Hopper with a
wrist shot for his second goal this season.
Just over half a minute later, Matt Zarbo put Tri-City
back in front by two.
Tri-City began the third period with a two-goal lead,
and got an early power play. However, Chicago's Andrew
Miller (Yale University) tied the game with his fourth
goal of the year.
Six minutes later, with Chicago on the power play,
Lindblad found John Moore (Colorado College) open in the
slot and he fired a wrist shot past Hopper's blocker at
the 7:43 mark of the third to give the Steel their first
lead of the night.
They would make that goal hold up, and win their fourth
game of the year.
The Steel next return to action Wednesday, October 29th
against the Waterloo Black Hawks. Tickets can be ordered
