Steel Set To
Play Blackhawks Alumni
Bensenville, IL (August 9th, 2008)
-- On Saturday, September 13th, the Chicago
Steel will be taking on the Chicago Blackhawks Alumni in
a charity game which will be played at The Edge Ice
Arena in Bensenville.
Tickets will be available for only $10 and ticket
proceeds will benefit the Chicago Blackhawks Alumni
Association and Shriners Hospital.
Prior to the game the Chicago
Blackhawks Alumni will be signing autographs.
Following the game there will be a special “Skate with
the Steel”, where fans of all age can join the Steel
players on the ice to meet the 2008 squad and get their
autographs.
The following Blackhawk Alumni
Members are scheduled to play, along with more to be
named in the next few days:
Steve Poapst (2000-2004)
Reg Kerr (1977-1982)
Grant Mulvey (1974-1983)
Cliff Koroll (1969-1980)
Kyle Mulvey (Chicago Steel Strength and Conditioning
Coach and Associate Blackhawk Alumni Member)
Bob Nardella (Played with the Chicago Wolves from
1994-2003 / 2005-2006 and is an Associate Blackhawk
Alumni Member)
Reid Simpson (1997-1999)
CJ Koroll (Associate Blackhawk Alumni Member)
Brian Noonan (1987-1994)
Jack O'Callahan * (1982-1987) (Won a Gold Medal with The
United States in the 1980 Winter Olympics)
*O'Callahan will be the Blackhawks Alumni Coach
Ed Olczyk* (1984-1987 / 1998-2000) (Current TV Color
Analyst))
*Olczyk will be the Blackhawks Alumni Coach
Jose Charbonneau (12th Overall Draft pick by Montreal in
the 1985 NHL Draft)
Mike Mullins (Associate Blackhawk Alumni Member)
