Steel Quick Hits
Bensenville, IL (October 19th, 2009) -
The Chicago Steel are proud to announce
that Kevin Lind has been selected to represent USA in
the 2009 U.S. Junior Select Team that will compete at
the World Junior A Challenge Nov. 1-8 in Summerside,
P.E.I. Kevin also played with the U.S. squad in the
2009 U.S. Under-18 Select Team that competed at the
Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Tournament in Piestany,
Slovakia.
The Steel have also named their
Captains for the 2009-2010 Decade of Determination
season. Four returning veterans will be wearing the
letters for the squad this season; Greg Wolfe will wear
the ‘C’ in the White Jersey’s while Mark Anthoine will
wear the ‘C’ in the Dark Jerseys. Goaltender Nick
Pisellini and Forward Alex Simonson will be wearing the
‘A’s on all jerseys.
The Steel hit the road for a 3 game
road trip which starts on Thursday in Omaha, but they
return back to the Edge Ice Arena on Friday October 30th.
