Bensenville, IL (October 3rd, 2009) - After welcoming Team USA into the league with a 5-1 loss on Friday, the Steel looked to repeat their success in Saturday's home opener.

The smoke had barely cleared from the pre-game introduction when the game looked to be out of reach after a flurry of goals by the Steel made it 5-0.

Andrei Kuchin was the first to light the lamp (8:35), followed by Dan Kolomatis (10:26), Mark Anthoine (Maine) (13:19), Jay Camper (17:37), and Alex Carpenter (18:48) on a nifty wrist shot past a diving USA goalie.

Team USA made things interesting after a seven minute power play brought the score to 6-3.

The two traded goals the rest of the way but a late scoring push by the Steel proved to be too much.

Mark Anthoine, Jake Chelios (16:10), and Alex Carpenter (18:35), sealed it for the Steel making it 10-5.

Anthoine and Carpenter brought the crowd to their feet with their two goal efforts.

The Steel, yet to lose in ’09, have all week to prepare for Waterloo this Friday at the EDGE Ice Arena in Bensenville,
