Stremmel Shuts Out Sioux City
Story By: Steve Jankowski

Bensenville (February 7th, 2009) --  The Chicago Steel traveled from Omaha to Sioux City Saturday, and Hudson Stremmel stopped all 26 Musketeer shots to earn his second shutout of the season, and Chicago's second win in a row.

Neither team was able to dent the back of the net in the first, with the goalies each stopping seven shots.

Just over a minute into the second, Andrew Miller (Yale University) provided all the offense Stremmel needed with his league-leading 24th goal of the year.  The goal also was his 60th point of the year, making him the first player in the league to crack the 60 point barrier.

Chicago capitalized on the power play a little over eight minutes later on Dean Chelios' 12th goal of the year, and third in his last two games.  Miller picked up an assist on the goal, his USHL-best 37th this year, as did Max Nicastro (Boston University, Detroit Red Wings).

John Moore (Colorado College) finished off the Musketeers, and the scoring at 14:15 of the third.  Rob Linsmayer (Holy Cross) picked up a helper on the goal.

The Steel finish up their season-long seven game road-trip next weekend in Tri-City and Lincoln before starting a season-long five game home-stand on February 18th at 7:30 p.m. against the Indiana Ice.  Tickets for all Steel home games can be ordered by calling the Steel box office at 630.594.1165.
