Steel Players Get Back to the Grind

Bensenville, IL (August 24, 2009)-  The Chicago Steel are proud to be celebrating their 10^th season this upcoming year and are even more excited for September 4^th, because that is when the 2009-2010 squad officially reports for this season. 

On September 4^th the players will all have their first official meeting as a team where they will go through orientation and team meetings.  The very next day will be their first on ice practice together as a team.  On Sunday the players will be back on the ice for another practice and more meetings.  The team will also be taking advantage of the holiday weekend and will be having their third practice in 3 days on Monday, September 7^th.  To catch your first glance of the 2009-2010 Chicago Steel team, come watch practice as they will be on the ice on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00-2:45 at John’s Street (545 John Street, Bensenville, IL), and on the East sheet of Ice at The Edge on Monday at Noon. 

If their first few days aren’t busy enough for them, it is all to gear them up for their first exhibition game on September 11^th where they will square off against the Youngstown Phantoms;  they will also play the Phantoms on the 12^th, both games are set to start at 7:30 pm at the Edge Ice Arena.  Tickets can be purchased by calling the Chicago Steel box office at 630.594.1162.
