3 Steel Players Named To All-Star Team
Bensenville, IL (January 7th, 2010) -
The
Chicago Steel are proud to announce that 3 players have
been named to the USHL All-Star game.
The game which will be held in Indianapolis on January
26th, at 7pm. will feature today’s most
exciting players and gives you a unique glimpse of
tomorrow’s NHL stars.
Joining the USHL All-Star Eastern
Conference team will be forwards Mark Anthoine and
Andrei Kuchin, the team will also feature defenseman
Kevin Lind.
Anthoine, a three year veteran of
the Steel is making his first USHL All-Star game, as it
is well deserved this year. In 29 games this season with
Chicago, he has 19 goals and 14 assists, good for 33
points. Last season with the Steel, Mark played in all
60 games earning 10 goals and 18 assists, good for 28
points. Anthoine is committed to the University of
Maine for the 2010-2011 season.
Kuchin, a first year player for the
Steel from Elektrougli Russia, has played in 29 games
this season and has 11 goals with 25 assists, good for
36 points. Kuchin has scored a goal in three straight
games during the week. He has a point in 10 of his last
11 games.
Rounding out the Steel trio is
veteran blueliner Kevin Lind. In 24 games so far this
season with the Steel, Kevin has 3 goals and 4 assists,
7 points. Lind played in 50 games for Chicago last year
and he accumulated 2 goals and 3 assists. Kevin is
committed to the University of Notre Dame for the
2010-2011 season. He has also played for Team USA U-18
at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, as well as the
2009 US Junior Select team which played in the World
Junior A Challenge where they won the Gold Medal.
