Steel Take Tough Loss In Overtime

Bensenville, IL (December 18, 2010) - Tri-City’s
Matt Johnson scored with 1:40 left in overtime as the
Storm snuck out of the Edge Ice Arena with a 3-2 victory
over the Chicago Steel Saturday night.
Chicago once again found itself down early, surrendering
the first goal of the game a minute, 47 seconds into the
first period and the second at the 19:01 mark of the
first.
The Steel bent, but they did not break in regulation, as
they battled back to tie the score 2-2 on Alex Kubiak’s
score at 4:44 in the second period and Garrett Allen’s
equalizer at the 6:22 mark in the third. Adam Krause and
Ben Kramer added assists for the Steel.
Connor Wilson made 28 saves in goal for Chicago, while
Christopher Holden provided 29 stops for Tri-City.
Both clubs failed to score on the power play, with the
Steel going 0-for-2 and the Storm registering an 0-for-6
showing.
The Chicago Steel would like to wish everyone a great
