Chicago and Omaha
Square Off For First Time of 2010-2011 Season

Bensenville, IL (January 1, 2011) - The Omaha
Lancers make their way to the Edge Ice Arena on Sunday
to take on the Chicago Steel at 3 p.m. It will be the
first meeting between the two clubs in 2010-11.
Last season the Steel and Lancers split their series
2-2, with each team earning a victory on the road. Omaha
is 14-7-3 on the year and currently in third place in
the United States Hockey League Western Conference.
The Lancers are lead by forwards Nick Oddo, Stefan
Demopoulos and Seth Ambroz. Oddo (10g, 11a) is currently
15th in the league in points with 21, while Demopoulos
(6g, 14a) is tied for 16th with 20 points. Their
teammate, Ambroz, has 11 goals in 2010-11, placing him
10th in the USHL for goals scored.
Omaha is coming off a 3-2 overtime victory against
Tri-City in Kearney, Neb. on Friday night. Lancer goalie
John Keeney made 41 stops in the win over the Storm.
Keeney, coming into Sunday’s game with Chicago,
possesses a 7-3-0 record, 2.05 goals against average,
and a .928 save percentage. The Lancers also have the
USHL’s ninth ranked goalie in Todd Mathews, who is 6-3-3
on the year, with a 2.44 GAA, and a .911 save
percentage.
