Puck Cancer Weekend

Bensenville, IL (February 1, 2011) -
The Chicago Steel will host their fourth annual “Real Men Wear Pink” weekend when they face Team USA U-17 on Friday and the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Saturday. Faceoff for both contests is 7:30 p.m.

The Steel will trade in their home jerseys and don pink uniforms to raise awareness and money for cancer research. Fans will have the chance to bid on the game-worn jerseys all night Friday and up until the end of the second intermission on Saturday.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Puck Cancer Foundation, which is dedicated to raising funds to find a cure for cancer and helping the families whose lives have been changed by the disease.

Mike Rigitano will also be in attendance the Edge Ice Arena on Saturday. Mr. Rigitano created a life-size replica Stanley Cup out of 7000 bottle caps and will have the cup on display for the fans and will be open for questions regarding his conception.

Tickets, Group Packages and Face-Off Family Packs can be purchased for both games by calling 630-594-1165. For more information on the Chicago Steel, log onto our website at www.chicagosteelhockeyteam.com.
