Shootout Needed For Youngstown
Bensenville, IL (February 27, 2011) - For
the third day in a row, the Chicago Steel took the ice,
but were unable to bring home the victory. After
Saturday nights 4-3 loss to Muskegon, the Steel got on
the bus and drove to Youngstown for a 2pm matinee game
in which Chicago’s Connor Wilson made 49 saves on
50 shots, but the Steel were beat in the Shootout.
Scoring for the Steel was Nick D'Avolio on a set up pass
from Zach Saar in the second period tying the score at
1. It was D'Avolio's second goal of the year.
The Shootout proved to be too much for the Steel as they
went 0-4 and Youngstown went 2-4, earning the 2-1
shootout win.
