Phantoms Send Steel
Home With Loss
Bensenville, IL (April 9, 2011) - The Steel
were looking to end the season on a positive note, but
Youngstown had a different idea. Chicago was able to
even the score at 1 after eleven minutes of play, but
then the scoring became one sided in favor of
Youngstown. The Phantoms were able to put three
more past Steel netminder Connor Wilson in the first
period, giving them the 4-1 lead heading into the 2nd
period. Joel Benson got his eighth goal of the
year, with Jimmy Devito assisting on the first period
goal for the Steel. The second period proved to be
even for both teams with Aiden Cavallini scoring for the
Steel and Ben Paulides scoring for Youngstown, but the
third period was again in favor of Youngstown.
Tonight's game was the last game of the season for the
Steel and they would like to thank all of their fans and
loyal supporters throughout the year.
