Steel Trade For Ray Pigozzi

- The Chicago Steel would like to announce that Zach Saar has been traded to the Des Moines Buccaneers in exchange for Ray Pigozzi. The trade was finalized this afternoon, Monday, January 2.

Pigozzi, a native of Evanston, Ill., played in 51 games last season for Des Moines, scoring six goals and adding 12 assists.

This season in 16 games, the 6-foot, 190 pound forward, has tallied two goals and seven assists. Pigozzi is a 1994 birth year and is committed to play hockey for the University of Denver. He was a member of Team USA that won the bronze medal at the World Junior A Challenge this past November.

The entire Steel organization would like to wish Zach Saar the best of luck as he continues his playing career in Des Moines.
Saar has been an excellent leader and role model in the community over the last two seasons while he was a member of the Chicago Steel.
