GENEVA, ILLINOIS — The 2017 Clark Cup Champion Chicago Steel announced Wednesday their preliminary 2017-2018 Promotional Schedule featuring an assortment of entertaining and electrifying events designed to enhance the game night experience for all fans in the Fox Valley. Planned for this season are exciting theme nights such as a Mighty Ducks 25th Anniversary, Dr. Seuss Day, Chicago Blackhawks Night, Happy Birthday Britney Spears, Pucks and Pups presented by WoofBeach (bring your dog to the game!) and many more. Giveaway items include Steel Youth Replica Jerseys and Magnet Schedules (with more to be announced), and great ticket specials offered this season include Family Sundays and Meijer Kids Days.

The regular season begins next month, including the Home Opener on Saturday, Oct. 7 against Team USA. This game will feature a ceremony honoring the 2017 Clark Cup Champions, with the unveiling of the championship banner, as well as a pre-game ring ceremony. The Home Opener is the first of five scheduled Skate with the Steel games, where fans can lace up their skates and join the team on the ice immediately following the game. Fans can bring their dogs to the game on Friday, Oct. 20 for Pucks and Pups presented by WoofBeach. On Saturday, Oct. 21, the Center for Diagnostic Imaging presents Paint The Rink Pink Night as the Steel support the fight against breast cancer.

November kicks off with a pair of games (Nov. 3-4) against the Green Bay Gamblers, and the first 500 fans in attendance each night will receive a Chicago Steel 2017-2018 Magnet Schedule. Bust out your triple deke, because Saturday, Nov. 4 also features a 25th Anniversary Celebration of the hit movie, “The Mighty Ducks”. The Steel are home on Black Friday (Nov. 24) with Superhero Night on the first Meijer Kids Day of the season - kids 12 and under receive an Attack Preferred ticket, popcorn, and light-up wand for just $10.

Oh baby, baby…December begins with a “Happy Birthday Britney Spears” celebration on Saturday, Dec. 2. The action-packed final calendar month of the year continues the following Saturday (Dec. 9) with the Teddy Bear Toss presented by Geneva Family Dental; fans are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped stuffed animals to throw onto the ice following Chicago’s first goal of the game, and all stuffed animals will be donated to charity. The game will also feature a post-game Skate with the Steel.

Following the USHL’s holiday break, Chicago returns home with a pair of exciting home games Dec. 30-31. On Saturday, Dec. 30, the first 500 kids 14 and under receive a Youth Replica Steel Jersey, and a New Year’s Eve matinee features a post-game Skate with the Steel on a Steel Family Sunday.

Wiener dogs will race down the ice Saturday, Feb. 17, and everyone’s favorite dog, Steel mascot Rusty, will celebrate his birthday on Sunday, Feb. 25, with a variety of his Chicagoland mascot friends joining in on the party including a mascot hockey game.

March features three Steel Family Sundays, including A Day for the Trolls on March 4, a full-team post-game autograph session on March 18, and a Celebration of Girls’ Hockey on March 25. Chicago is also home on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) with a Salute to Heroes.
