Sunday’s game is filled with excitement from beginning to end as fans will have a chance to have their photo taken with Rapunzel during the game as the princess will meet with her fans beginning during the first period. Fans are also encouraged to stick around after the game for the final Skate with the Steel of the season where fans can skate with the team and get photos and autographs from the future stars of NHL hockey.

Tickets for all Steel home games are on sale now starting at just $10 and stadium seating on the glass is available for just $20. Parking is always free. The Steel Family Pack must be purchased in advance and is not available on the day of the game.

Chicago’s (32-19-2-0, 66 pts.) week started on Tuesday with a 3-1 win in Green Bay (15-29-6-3, 39 pts.) to clinch its third-straight berth in the Clark Cup Playoffs. Tuesday’s win was highlighted by a pair of goals from forward Josiah Slavin who struck twice in the first period, including the eventual game winner late in the frame. Right wing Mathieu De St. Phalle added the insurance goal midway through the second as goaltender Justin Robbins made 19 saves for his 22nd win of the season.

The Steel and Gamblers meet again on Friday in a 7:05 p.m. faceoff for the final meeting of the regular season. After Tuesday’s win, the Steel are now 5-1-0-0 against the Gamblers this season. Steel leading scorer Nick Abruzzese has led the way with seven points (3-4-7) against the Gamblers this season, including an assist on Tuesday. Abruzzese padded his USHL lead for points (24-45-69) on Tuesday with his 105th career Steel point, moving him into third place all-time in franchise history.

When the Steel host the Stars (11-36-3-3, 28 pts.) on Sunday, it’ll be a rematch of the first game of the season when Lincoln took a 5-4 overtime win back on Sep. 27, 2018 at the Fall Classic. The first meeting of the season featured a pair of shorthanded goals from Steel forward Robert Mastrosimone, but a pair of Stars goals in the final two minutes forced overtime in which forward Caleb Rule scored his second goal of the game to seal the win.

Sunday will be the first time former Lincoln captain Josiah Slavin faces his old team since being acquired by Chicago on January 22. Slavin picked up a pair of assists against the Steel in the previous meeting. It’ll also be a reunion game for Chicago defenseman Ville Rasanen who started the season with Lincoln before he joined the Steel in November.

Stars forward Brock Bremer currently leads his team with 30 points (14-16-30) in 49 games this season. The former Muskegon Lumberjacks forward has three points (2-1-3) in four games against the Steel this season, including a multi-goal game for the Lumberjacks on November 3 in his last trip to Fox Valley Ice Arena. Lincoln has had a pair of goaltenders split time this season as Jacob Mucitelli has appeared in 20 games (3-8-2-1, 3.71 GAA, .875 SV%) while Samuel Hlavaj has played in 18 (3-14-0-1, 4.29, .871).
