Oleksiak, Stars push Colorado to the brink of elimination

Six Steel alumni were included on rosters to begin the 2020 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. We're keeping track of every one of them and will be releasing updates every week throughout the playoffs.

Jamie Oleksiak - Dallas Stars

The Toronto, Ontario, native continued his physical impact during the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs in two games against the Colorado Avalanche this week.

Oleksiak led the Stars with seven hits in a 5-4 victory in Game 4 on Sunday. Dallas pushed Colorado to the brink of elimination by taking a 3-1 lead in the series with the win.

In Game 5 on Monday, the Avs staved off elimination with a 6-3 victory as Oleksiak registered a team-best three blocked shots.

Dan Vladar - Boston Bruins

The Bruins dropped a 3-1 decision in Game 4 against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday and were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 3-2 loss in Game 5 on Monday.

Vladar made his NHL Debut on August 26th, playing in 24:46 of game action and turning away 12 shots.

The former Steel netminder signed a 3-year contract extension with Boston on August 23rd.


John Moore - Boston Bruins

The Bruins dropped a 3-1 decision in Game 4 against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday and were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 3-2 loss in Game 5 on Monday.

Moore logged 15:39 of ice time in one appearance during the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. His career playoff totals include 49 games played and four assists.
