Oleksiak, Stars fall to Tampa Bay in Stanley Cup Final

Jamie Oleksiak - Dallas Stars

Oleksiak became the second consecutive Steel alum to advance to the Stanley Cup Final after Mackenzie MacEachern and the St. Louis Blues captured the most famous trophy in all of sports in 2019.

The Dallas Stars faced off against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2020 Final at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.

Oleksiak, the 6-foot-7, 255-pound defenseman, concluded his productive postseason with a goal and a helper in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Toronto, Ontario, native totaled nine points (5G, 4A) through 27 games in the 2020 return to play Stanley Cup Playoffs, his highest point total in three career playoff runs.

Oleksiak finished the postseason run with 117 hits, the second-most among all NHL skaters, while averaging 21:38 of time on ice.

The Lightning captured a 4-2 series victory to hoist the franchise's second Stanley Cup in history, clinching the title with a 2-0 victory on September 28.
