September 19, 2016 (GENEVA, IL.) - The up-close action and speed of Chicagoland's top tier junior hockey league hits the ice on September 24, 2016. The Chicago Steel 2016-2017 season will begin when the future college and pro stars face off against the Green Bay Gamblers at 7:05 p.m. CDT at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva. Tickets start at $10 and include free parking. A complimentary Steel replica youth jersey will be given to the first 500 kids (14 and under) in attendance. Additionally, fans are invited to join the team on the ice for a Post-Game Skate with the Steel with full-team autographs! Skate rental will be available for $4/pair.

Chicago Steel Hockey 2016-2017 Season
The 2016-2017 season will mark Chicago Steel's 17th in the United States Hockey League (USHL) and their second season playing at Fox Valley Ice Arena. Fans can catch the Chicago Steel early in the season, with home contests each of the first eight weeks of the season, including five consecutive Saturday night games. All Friday and Saturday home games will start at 7:05 p.m., and the puck will drop at 3:05 p.m. for Sunday games.

Headquartered in Chicago and founded in 1979, the USHL celebrates its 15th season as the nation's only Tier One junior hockey league.
